Adidas have reportedly decided to end their sponsorship of deal with AC Milan after 20 years of kitting the Serie A giant.
AC Milan and adidas have become almost synonymous with each other after their affiliation that dates all the way back to 1998, having previously manufactured their strips between 1978 and 1980, as well as 1990-1993.
But according to Gazzetta dello Sport the German manufacture sportwear terminating their deal with the Rossoneri despite five years remaining of the contract to run.
Adidas made the decision to end their sponsorship during the Chinese takeover of the club over the summer, agreeing to hold out until the summer of 2018.
While the move is already set in place, the necessary steps are expected to be taken between December and January.
Adidas aren't the only sponsors to leave Milan this year with Car manufacturers also pulled out of their deal with the club back in March before the new investors were introduced.
Despite heavy investment over the summer Ac Milan are currently sitting seventh in the Serie A log, nine points adrift first placed Napoli.
