Barcelona have unveiled first summer signing of Ludovit Reis from Dutch club FC Groningen for a fee of €3.25 million.
The 18-year-old midfielder made 50 first-team appearances for the Eredivisie club and has impressed the Blaugrana’s scouts, who have been monitoring him for twelve months.
Reis now joined star-studded ranks at Barcelona but he will be sent in their B side as the La Liga club are confident he can develop into a first-team squad player

saying: "It’s a dream come true for me. I’m very happy. I still can’t believe it. I dreamt about this every night when I played football with my friends. I’m coming here to learn from the other players, who are the best in the world.”
"My style is as a defensive pivot but I could play further forward as an interior. My objective is to play for the first team and learn from Busquets and the other great players,” he added.
Reis initially came to the nation from Slovakia, where both of his parents originated but the midfielder signed a long-term contract at Camp Nou that includes a €100 million (£88m/$111m) release clause.
