Lucas Moura scored a hattrick to send Tottenham Hotspur to the Champions League final after they defeated Ajax 3-2 at the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday evening, the aggregate was 3-3 but Spurs qualified on away goal rule.

it was Ajax that scored the opening goal of the game from the first corner kick following a header from Matthijs de Light in the fifth minute of the clash at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Though Tottenham had opportunities to equalised the goal with just two minutes after the goal but Heung Min Son could not get his target right.

The visitors were a bit frustrated as Moussa Sissoko was shown a yellow card in the 16th minute for a heavy challenge on Ajax player.

Ajax extended their led via Hakim Ziyech in the 35th minute after a brilliant assist from Dusan Tadic, the visitor never gave up as they score at least a goal in the first half but they were unable to capitalise on their chances.

The first half ended in favour of Ajax with a 2-0 lead at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino made an early sub in the opening minute of the second half as he withdrew Victor Wayama for Fernando Llorente.

Tottenham pulled a goal back after Dele Alli played a vital role in the build-up to find Lucas Moura who made no mistake to slot the goal past Ajax goalkeeper Onana to make it 2-1 in the 55th minute.

it was Lucas again who pounced on a loose ball inside the box and beat goalkeeper Onana with a shot to make it 2-2 for the away team.

Lucas finally grabbed a hat-trick after he was left unmarked in the box to find the back of the net for Spurs to make it 3-2 as Tottenham advanced to the Champions League finals.
