Prague v Chelsea: Team news, probable lineup & prediction

Slavia Prague will entertain Chelsea at the  Sinobo Stadium on Thursday even in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

TEAM NEWS:

SLAVIA PRAGUE:

The Czech Republic team will be without midfielder Tomas Soucek due to suspension after he picked up his third yellow card of the competition in the second leg against Spanish team Sevilla.

CHELSEA:

Maurizio Sarri’s men have no injury concern, the Italian manager is expected to stick with the same formation that has brought them this far in the competition despite having some hard times in the domestic scene.

HEAD TO HEAD:

Thursday night will mark the first-ever meeting between Chelsea and Slavia Prague. 

However, the Czech side has faced English opposition on nine previous occasions, winning just one - a 1-0 victory over Leeds in 2000.

Prague is on a fine run themselves as they are currently ten unbeaten. They will be looking to continue their scoring form, having bagged 17 goals in their previous five games.

They have won four of their last five matches including the win against Sevilla in the second round of the competition.

CHELSEA:

The Blues are in hot form at the moment and they have been getting their desired result in the competition and their form has tremendous so far.

They have won their last five games in a row.
