Two men arrested by police after allegedly stealing Obafemi Martins jewelry worth over 280 million Naira, according to a report.

The men worked at Lekki residence of former Super Eagles striker as security men but made away with the jewelry, which included several expensive watches, and sold them on for six million Naira.

According to SCORENigeria claims that the items belong to flamboyant Martins after the Nigeria Police Force nabbed the two men outside Lagos State.

Martins, now 35, tore his hamstring in May 2018 after he was released by the Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua and has been looking for a new club, but insists he has not thought of retiring from the game.

The Nigerian speedster has had no fewer than seven different clubs since leaving Newcastle, which has taken him to La Liga, MLS and the Chinese Super League, among others.

Martins scored 32 goals and provided nine assists in 59 appearances for his Shanghai Shenhua and also netted 18 goals for Nigeria.
