Liverpool duo, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, have been named in the Brazil squad which includes the returning Real Madrid man Casemiro for the World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Paraguay later this month.
The Liverpool pair are
included in a 23-man selection made by coach Tite who made just four changes to his former squad for the matches on Thursday
March 23 and Tuesday, March 28 respectively. Benfica's Ederson
will also join a Tite squad for the first time after making a good impression on goalkeeping coach Taffarel, who attended the Portuguese club’s 1-0 UEFA Champions League win over Dortmund last month. Real Madrid’s Casemiro returns after injury kept him out of Brazil’s last four World Cup qualifiers.
Brazil currently lead the standings in the South American preliminaries for next year’s tournament in Russia. The Selecao sit four points clear of second-placed Uruguay with six matches remaining and this month could see them mathematically secure their place at Russia 2018.Squad in fullGoalkeepers:
