A new chapter has been opened in the Confederation of African Football, CAF with the emergence of Ahmad Ahmad as the new president having defeated incumbent, Issa Hayatou in Thursday's elections.

FCNaija picks on five things about the new 57-year old CAF President who emerged with a 34-20 vote margin in Ethiopia on Thursday.

Third-term Madagascar FA boss

The Fédération Malagasy de Football re-elected Ahmad as president for a third term early this year.

He was retained unopposed, polling 21 of the 22 votes, representing more than the required 50 percent plus one.

The election was supervised by CAF Executive Committee member, Constant Omari, who doubles as president of DR Congo Football Federation (FECOFA).
