Africa's top 10 on September's Fifa rankings, spot Nigeria!



Fifa have revealed their Africa's top ten rankings for September and it's observed that Nigeria and South Africa dropped in the latest ranking released on Thursday.

Though they didn't make the top 10 African countries, Cape Verde are the biggest overall movers in the latest Fifa World Rankings as they climb a total of 47 places.

Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana enjoyed diverse fortunes during the recent World Cup qualifiers, but both continental heavyweights dropped during the latest update to the world rankings. While Bafana dropped to 18th in Africa, Eagles dropped six places to 44th in the world, what's their position in Africa? You will find out!

Tunisia replaced DR Congo as the second-ranked side in Africa after the Carthage Eagles beat the Leopards and drew with them in 2018 qualifying. Meanwhile, DR Congo fell 14 places globally down to fourth on the continent behind third-placed Senegal.

Germany have returned to the number one side in the world ahead of Brazil for top spot.
