Ancelotti could quit Bayern Munich for surprise job

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti could quit Bayern Munich in January for a surprise job in another league after spending just a full season with the Bavarian.

The Italian boss is in his second season with the German Champions after guiding the team to the Bundesliga title in his debut campaign.

Bayern Munich former midfielder Mario Basler is of the opinion that Ancelotti has signed a contract to leave for Chinese Super League following the 2-0 defeat to Hoffenheim on Saturday.

“I’ve heard that Ancelotti has signed a contract with a Chinese club,” Basler told Sport1.

“From what I know he will leave in the winter because that is when the season starts in China.”

Basler conceded he could not be 100 per cent certain the move will happen but trusts his source of information.

“I can’t confirm it to be 100 percent true, but my source is reliable.

“Let’s put it this way, I can’t say anything negative about my source, which I trust.

“It’s not a given that it will happen, but that is the rumour going around.”

Ancelotti has two years left to run on his contract at the Allianz Arena.
