Anderlecht began the second half on a blistering pace and Acheampong won a freekick on the edge of the box after he was fouled by Michael Carrick and the England man was booked but nothing came out of the freekick.
At the other end, Matteo Darmian delivered a superb cross into the box which was met by a volley from Mkhitaryan but it went narrowly wide and minutes later, Rashford was a shot saved by Ruben.
With time running out the home side, became adventurous and nearly forced an equalizer but Sofiane Hanni’s shot was deflected wide.
Paul Pogba nearly broke his 14-game goal drought when he received a clever pass from Ibrahimovic but his right foot shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
The home side eventually got their equalizer as Leander Dendoncker headed past Sergio Romero in goal to make it 1-1.
