Another World Cup coach has waded into the sacking of Spanish coach Julen Lopetugui.
Portugal coach Fernando Santos dismissed suggestions that the sack of Lopetegui would have an adverse effect on the country’s World Cup game on Friday.
Lopetegui was replaced by Fernando Hierro on Wednesday after he made it public that he has signed a deal to join The European Champions after the World Cup in Russia.

Santos was of the view that the decision had given Portugal the upper hand in the clash.
"Spain has played the same way for 10 years," he told a news conference in Sochi. "I don't think it's going to be important."
Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho also share the same view as he feels the change in coach will boost the La Roja’s morale."A negative effect? I don't think so," he said of the move's potential impact. "A positive effect, maybe."
"Portugal is among the candidates to be able to take the cup home, "We're focused, we're united, I don't think we're concerned with anything else."
