Arsenal 4-3 Leicester City: 5 things we learnt

The Premier League got off to a flying start on Friday night at the Emirates with Arsenal taking on former champions Leicester City.

The season opener had a little bit of everything and it was truly befitting for the most-watched league in the world.

Arsenal 4-3 Leicester: Giroud leaves it late on opening day

The Gunners took an early lead through new signing Alexandre Lacazette but were made to pay by the sublime Jamie Vardy, who grabbed a brace before seeing Ramsey equalise and Giroud nab the winner with minutes remaining.

Here are five things we learnt from the match.

Lacazette will give value for money

There is no problem of settling down for Arsenal’s big-money summer signing as he got off the mark just 94 seconds into his Premier League debut

Aside from the goal on the night, the Frenchman who arrived with a big reputation after blitzing the goalscoring charts in Ligue 1 for Lyon looked fairly comfortable throughout as he survived Leicester’s rough-and-tumble approach to the game.

More goals are expected from Lacazette as the season progresses.
