The Arsenal dressing room made up of Nigeria's Alex Iwobi and other members of the Gunners' playing staff is reportedly in disarray following their terrible run of form and the players have turned on each other after Sunday’s defeat at Brighton.
Arsenal lost their fourth straight match with the 2-1 defeat at the Amex Stadium, having also lost back-to-back matches against Manchester City, and their hopes of finishing in the top four have been dashed.
After that latest loss, The Sun
claims Arsenal’s dressing room imploded, with the squad lashing out at three players for their role in the defeat.
Mesut Ozil was slammed for disappearing in the match, particularly during the first half, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan got the sticks from his new teammates for not tracking runners.
Shkodran Mustafi was also on the receiving end of a few harsh truths, with other members of the squad believing that he passes on the blame for goals that have been conceded despite being the main party at fault.
With Arsenal’s dressing room currently at war with each other and pointing fingers, Wenger faces a difficult task in trying to repair squad morale ahead of their trip to Italy on Thursday.
The Gunners take on AC Milan on Thursday in the Europa League, which now looks like their only means of getting back into the Champions League next season. But his squad are imploding and believe they are not getting enough support from the Frenchman, who according to reports went into the match against Brighton without a proper gameplan and instead told his players to work out a solution for themselves.
