Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech to return to Chelsea for the second time as the club new sporting director, according to a report in England.

The 37-year-old will bring his glittering career to an end after the Europa League final later this month, leaving Gunners in the market for a new back-up goalkeeper to first choice Bernd Leno.

Cech spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge before joining Arsenal in 2015, and according to Sky Sports, he’ll be handed technical sporting director’ role with the blues after his retirement.

That position has been empty since Michael Emenalo's resignation in 2017 and it is expected that the Premier League clean sheet record holder will take on a number of the duties that were completed by former Super Eagles left-back once he begins his new position.

The Czech international’s final appearance as a player incidentally could be against former club Chelsea in the Europa League final on May 29 in Baku but the ex-Rennes star has won 19 club honours in a glittering 20-year career including the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2017.
