Arsenal on warpath with Chile over Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez is in the middle of a club versus country row.
Arsenal are set to go to war with Chile over Alexis Sanchez after the forward suffered a injury scare while training with his national side.
The Gunners want the 28-year old to return to London, and while he will miss Friday’s match with Colombia, he could be in line to play against Uruguay next week, and the English club isn’t happy with that.
Sanchez suffered a calf problem while training with Chile on Tuesday, but his country wants to keep hold of him in hope he may be available to play against Uruguay next week.
Sanchez’s injury is being assessed by medical staff with his national team but the Gunners are keen to make their own judgement.
Arsenal are reluctant to take any risks with their star man – a view they have extended to their South American counterparts – but Chile officials are insisting the injury is not serious.
Arsenal would prefer Sanchez not to play against Uruguay next week and return back to London for treatment.
Arsene Wenger’s men are up against Manchester United after the international break, and they would like to have Sanchez available for the clash if possible.
