Arsenal is set to launch a bid for Barcelona star in the coming transfer period in January.

Unai Emery has shown some seriousness in his determination to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.

Arsenal aim to capitalise on the player’s unpleasant attitude towards the Barcelona management as well as to his teammates at the Camp Nou.

Dembele missed training without pre-informing the club officials and on Sunday he was shown among the spectators as he sat out in the defeat against Real Betis at the Camp Nou due to injury.

The report in Spanish journal Mundo Deportivo says the head of Arsenal’s recruitment Sven Mislintat has submitted the players as one of the targets.

Mislintat was instrumental in the signing of Dembele for Rennes and Emery has agreed with the head of recruitment to bring the World Cup winner to Emirates.

The report in L’Equipe also revealed that some numbers of Barcelona directors believe it is time to cash in on the former Borussia Dortmund forward.

Apart from his compatriots Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, Dembele has no particular relationship with the rest of the players, basically due to the fact that he barely speaks Spanish.
