Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud could be teammate with Nigerian duo of Henry Onyekuru and Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho as West Ham United have added the trio on their wanted list for this summer transfer, according to Skysport.
The Frenchman has netted at least 20 goals for the Gunners in the last three seasons in all competitions but in the just concluded campaign where Arsenal finished outside the top four – he was dropped most of the time on the bench.Read Also | Iheanacho hints on an end to Man City exit, fans react!
Arsene Wenger experimented with Alexis Sanchez as the number nine and it worked out fine with the Chilean scoring loads of goals and when he decided to change he gave chances to injury prone Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott and Giroud is not comfortable and has insisted that he wants more playing time or won’t have a problem leaving the Emirates.
The Hammers are looking ahead to a very busy summer with Iheanacho and Onyekuru also on their radar.
Iheanacho is not playing regularly for Pep Guardiola and wants more playing time and a loan spell with Slaven Bilic’s men could be ideal for the Super Eagles star while Onyekuru who finished last season as topscorer with 24 goals for his Belgium side KAS Eupen is heavily linked with a summer switch to the premier league with Arsenal and West Ham going head-to-head for his services.
It will be interesting to see if the Hammer would succeed in luring the trio to the Olympic stadium next season.
