Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has reacted to Nigeria's first defeat in seven FIFA recognised matches following Tuesday's slump to Serbia in an international friendly fixture.

Iwobi who was one of Nigeria's finest on parade against the Serbians bagged 88 minutes of action before making way for Super Eagles debutant Junior Ajayi who stars for Egypt Premier League champions Al-Ahly.

The 21-year old Arsenal star who scored the winner against Zambia to seal Nigeria's qualification to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia took to his Instagram account after the game, saying: "A Lot Of Lessons To Learn From Yesterday, But Overall A Wonderful Week With My Super Eagles Family.

"Thank You To All Our Fans! Incredible As Usual! It’s An Honor To Represent You Nigeria."

An under-strength Super Eagles failed to fly in London on Tuesday night as two second-half goals by Serbian forward Aleksandr Mitrovic condemned Gernot Rohr to only his second defeat in 14 matches in charge of Nigeria.
