Arsenal v Leicester line-ups: Ndid in, Iheanacho, Iwobi out

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has left out Alex Iwobi in his starting line-up for Friday's Premier League opener against Liecester City while the Foxes' manager Craig Shakespeare named Wilfred Ndidi but left out Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho in his starting XI for the Emirates stadium showdown.

While Iwobi and Iheanacho have been named on the Gunners and Foxes' bench respectively, Ahmed Musa failed to make the match day squad.

The clash which is the first time a Premier League season will kick-off on a Friday will see Leicester's Maguire and Arsenal duo Kolasinac and Lacazette bagging League debut.

Petr Cech takes charge of proceedings on the pitch for Arsenal in the absence of captain Laurent Koscielny. Rob Holding, Nacho Monreal and new signing Kolasinac make up the back three for the home side. In front of the back three is a four man midfield of Hector Bellerin playing in the right wing-back position while Oxlade-Chamberlain again has been deployed in the left wing-back by Wenger. Mohammed Elneny and Granit Xhaka sit in the middle of the pack.

Elsewhere, Mesut Ozil who missed the last weekend's Community Shield Cup against Chelsea returns to flank big money arrival Alexandre Lacazette on the right while Danny Welbeck comes in on the left flank.

Leicester are on a 21-game winless run against Arsenal in the Premier League (D7 L14), with their only win against the Gunners coming in their first ever Premier League encounter in November 1994.
