Arsenal star predicts tough clash with Musa in Russia

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident he will get Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey to commit his future to the club by signing a new contract.

Ramsey who was in fine form for the Gunners in their UEFA Europa League home fixture against CSKA Moscow last Thursday is coming towards the end of his present deal at the Emirates outfit.

He will have just 12 months left on his contract at the end of the current season, leaving him open to approaches from rivals. But Wenger who could see his star end up leaving for nothing or at a rival club is anxious to avoid that scenario.

"We are communicating… yes, I’m confident. He’s not at the end of his contract, he has one and a half years to go.

"From my side it is clear, but you always have to find an agreement. We want him to stay. He’s one of these guys who has been here for a long time. He will be an important player in the future of this club." Wenger told Arsenal Player

The Wales international who suffered from a number of fitness problems earlier in his career at the club seems to have taken certain steps to eradicate that in recent years.
