Atletico and Real Madrid fans clashed in the Spanish capital ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg tonight.
Los Blancos took a 3-0 lead into the match from the first leg, as both sides met for the return leg at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night, but tensions spilled over before kick-off as Atleti fans lit flares outside the stadium.
Unconfirmed reports also suggested bottles were thrown at a Real supporters bus, leaving many with injuries and as a result, armed police were forced to intervene to disperse the crowds in the Spanish capital.

Officers were seen carrying shields and batons as thousands lined the streets near the stadium, as they escorted a large section of Real fans to the stadium in a bid to avoid further trouble.
An injured fan is quoted as saying: "When we were getting off the buses, they started throwing bottles.
"There was a father with his children and after they were targeted, I had to protect them."
