Mario Balotelli was on target twice on Friday night as Vincent Enyeama and his Lille teammates were beaten 2-1 at home by title-chasing Nice.
Balotelli with his brace kept Nice's slim hopes of winning Ligue 1 alive after powering them to a comeback win against Lille to send them above Paris Saint-Germain and into second.
It was Ibrahim Amadou that got the curtain raiser; giving the home side the lead after 14 minutes, that lead was however short-lived as Balotelli in the 17th minute beat Enyeama nicely when he struck by finishing a fine volley from Valentin Eysseric's cross.
Balotelli sealed all three points for Nice when he was first to meet goalkeeper Enyeama's save from a fierce shot and finish from close range.
It is now back-to-back losses for Enyeama and his teammates who were also beaten 2-1 by Monaco in their last outing.
Lille are 13th on the log in the French Ligue 1 log and would next be playing away to Rennes
