Balotelli has alleged elbowed Pablo Castro off the ball and broke his nose during Ligue 1 encounter at Matmut Atlantique last Friday but the centre referee Hakim Ben el Salem Hadj didn’t see the incident but it will be reviewed by the Disciplinary Commission and they will decide to analyse the images or not.
The Brazilian defender was given his marching orders for a clash later in the game with Balotelli and accused the former Inter striker of breaking his nose on purpose.
It's reported the ban could be anywhere from five to eight matches, if there is any punishment.
