Barcelona move to stop Inter Milan deal for EPL star

Barcelona has stepped in to sign Inter Milan target Christian Eriksen as they aim to stop the midfielder for sealing a move to San Siro this winter.

Inter Milan has reached a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of £17.5million but Barcelona’s interest in the Dane midfielder could mean that the deal could be scuppered at the last minute.

Eriksen is scheduled for medicals on Monday in Italy but with the recent development, he could head for a move to Spain to join Barcelona.

Eriksen is out of contract this summer and he is free to talk to any club of his choice but Spur do want him to leave on the free and aim to recoup some cash from his sale.

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho used Eriksen has been used sparingly this season, he scored three goals so far this season.

Inter Milan has already confirmed the signing of Ashley Young and Victor Moses this winter.
