Barcelona new sign Arthur Melo has dispelled the huge comparison to Andres Iniesta and Xavi during his unveiling as the club latest player, according to a report in Marca.
The former Gremio midfielder wants to be judged according to his own attributes.
"I am very happy to be here, it has always been my dream since I was a child to come to Barcelona so it is a very important day," he said to reporters.
"I am neither Xavi nor Iniesta, I am Arthur.
"Just comparing myself with these two players is fantastic, I don't hide my passion for them, and I have always admired them.
"They are similar and I can't tell you which one I have more characteristics in common with.

"I have to prove to everyone why I am here.
"I know what they have done and I have them as a reference point in this club, and that is my goal; work hard to get as close as possible to their level.
"I will enjoy playing alongside great players and I will go through difficult times, but I will try to learn from them."
Question marks have already been raised about where best to utilise the youngster.
"I think that whoever is going to answer this is going to be the coach, I will try to do what the coach tells me," Arthur continued.
"I have not been able to talk to Valverde yet, but I hope to soon."
Arthur is just the latest in a long line of Brazilians to wear the Blaugrana.
"I've seen great Brazilian players at Barcelona since I was a kid," he added.
"I think the culture is similar to Brazil, it's a similar style of play.
"I always had the ball at my feet as a child, and I thought even then that I would like to play at Barcelona.
"I've always wanted to play here and I've talked to Paulinho, Coutinho and Neymar and they've all told me it's a wonderful city, with a good climate, a culture that is very easy to adapt to and a very easy place to work in.
"Everyone I have dealt with has been nice and I know that they will help me in my day to day life."
