Barcelona take preventive control on Messi return

Barcelona is in no rush to play Lionel Messi upon his return from injury as they aim to prevent any unforeseen relapse that could cause harm to their campaign this season.

The club has made it clear that they would not risk the Argentine forward against Valencia. He trained with the rest of the squad on Wednesday morning and there are doubts over his full fitness to face Valencia on Saturday.

Messi sustained a calf injury and the team managers are set to wait till his 100 percent fit to play before he is fielded despite the fact that they have a difficult start to this season’s campaign.
