Bayern Munich 3-0 Anderlecht: Onyekuru falls in Germany

Nigerian striker Henry Oneykuru was unable to save his Belgian team on Tuesday as Bayern Munich kick-started their Champions League campaign in Group B with a comfortable home victory over Anderlecht.

The visitors always had their backs against the wall and didn't make it any easier for themselves with midfielder Sven Kums conceding a penalty and being sent off after just 11 minutes.

Robert Lewandowski dusted himself off and converted the spot kick to give the home side an early lead before Thiago Alcantara turned in Joshua Kimmich's cross to double their advantage.

Kimmich capped off his fine performance with a third to get Carlo Ancelotti's side off to a winning start.

Onyekuru was brought on in the 59th minute but his introduction could not change the complexion of the game as the Bavarians coasted away to victory
