Bayern Munich launch €60m for Chelsea and Real Madrid target

Bayern Munich has launched a €60 million (£52m) for Chelsea and Real Madrid target Leon Bailey, according to the source close to ESPN.

The Bayern Leverkusen winger has been in fine form for the Bundesliga outfit this season and his display has attracted Europe’s biggest clubs over the campaign.

The Jamaican has been courted by the likes of Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea and in Spain Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested in his service.

The Bayern Leverkusen has earlier stated that he is prepared to remain in Germany with Leverkusen as he looks to make a name for himself in Germany.

"Leverkusen is perfect for me. I want to develop and then I can take the next step," - as translated by Goal. "When I move to a big club, the people there will want to know me. I want to make a name for myself at the highest level," he said to Bild.

Bayern Munich is set to make a move for the 20-year-old forward after he revealed his intention to remain in Germany and they have tabled a €60m (£52m) for him.

However, Leverkusen is said to be holding out for a fee closer to the €100m mark and would much prefer to sell the Jamaican to Real Madrid, who have also expressed a strong interest in signing him this summer.

Furthermore, the report claims that Los Blancos have instructed super agent Jose Mendes to explore the possibility of luring the pacy winger to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The German Champions is of the view that Bailey wants a move to Allianz Arena over the Spanish capital but Bayern will have to up their offer in a bid to meet the demand of the BayArena outfit.

The Jamaican scored 12 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions for the German outfit and help them finish in the fifth position this season.
