Bayern Munich have found their way back to the top spot in the Bundesliga after recording a 2-0 win at the Allianz Arena over RB Leipzig

Willi Orban's sending off played a big role in the champions securing the crucial win despite Robert Lewandowski going off injured.

Borussia Dortmund's 4-2 defeat to Hannover earlier on Saturday meant either of these teams could have gone to the summit, but there only ever looked like being one winner after Orban's 13th-minute dismissal as Jupp Heynckes' men cruised.

The Bavarians made it count when they received a massive boost as Orban was dismissed for barging Robben over when through on goal.

They took a deserved lead a few moments later in the 19th minute – James tucking a first-time effort.

The chances continued to flow for Bayern and by the 38th minute, Lewandowski doubled the lead.

There were no more goals afterwards but it was already enough to get Bayern back to their customary number one position in Germany.
