Bayern Munich star Vidal charged over nightclub brawl

Bayern Munich's superstar midfielder Arturo Vidal has been charged for his Involvement in Berlin nightclub brawl last year.

The 31-year-old was at Crown's Club in Berlin when the incident occurred where the Chile international and his entourage became involved in a dispute with a nightclub bartender in on 16th September 2017, following the Bavarian win over Mainz. 

According to 90mins claiming that the nightclub owner Oliver Reif revealed that has a video evidence has been obtained which shows that Vidal attempting to de-escalate the situation, before a mass brawl ensued:

After his failure to 'de-escalate' the situation, it is reported that a three-liter bottle of Grey Goose was smashed over the head of one of those involved in the brawl. 

A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office in Munich, Florian Weinzierl, said Vidal could face a sentence of up to 10 years over the melee in a local disco last September.

The Munich district court must now decide whether the case against the Bayern Munich midfielder will go to trial, he added.

Vidal who has a history of run-ins with the law found himself in trouble with the law. In 2014 when he was fined £90,000 by Juventus for his involvement in an altercation during a night out in Turin. 

Ex-Juventus star was reprimanded for drink driving during the 2015 Copa America, after crashing his Ferrari into a ditch with his wife and child in the car. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in this instance, but the Copa America winner did see his driving licence revoked after a short trial in Chilean court.

Vidal miss Bayern remainder of the season since April due to a knee injury but he has been linked a return to Serie A this summer.
