Benfica set to loan out Super Eagles right-back this month

Benfica set to loan out Super Eagles right-back Tyronne Ebuehi this month after failing to get regular playing time at the Estádio Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international Portuguese Primeira Liga Champions after 2018 FIFA World Cup before he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in training and spent the better side of his first season on the sideline.

Ebuehi has been struggled with his fitness this season and has featured in seven games for Benfica’s U23 side and made four appearances for Team B but according to the Portuguese news outlet,, claim that the Reds are ready to send Super Eagles defender out on a six months loan to a club in Dutch Eredivisie before the close of the winter transfer window.

The Netherlands-born made 78 Eredivisie and scored one goal for ADO Den Haag during his four years spell at the Cars Jeans Stadion before moving to Benfica on a free transfer in 2018 penning a five-year contract.
