Besiktas enter race to sign Super Eagles star from Porto

Besiktas have entered the race to sign Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Agu from FC Porto according to a report in Nigeria

The 25-year-old Nigeria international who is on loan at Vitória de Setúbal where he made 16 appearances and helping Rashidi Yekini former club from falling into the relegation zone.

Besiktas are in talks with Mikel’s parent club, FC Porto, and claims that Black Eagles side ready to make an official bid of around 2.5 million Euros for the Benin-born star who featured in the Turkish Super Lig in a loan spell with Bursaspor.

Mikel joined FC Porto in 2012 and still has an existing two years left on his contract with the Portuguese side, while the midfielder is on Super Eagles standby list for Afcon alongside Egypt-based Junior Ajayi and Enyimba goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai.
