A.C Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci has praise Sergio Ramos as the best defender in the world, the Real Madrid centre back was recently presented with the award for being the best defender in Europe having beat Bonucci and award.
The pair is set to meet each other when their respective national teams play for the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
As reported by Football Italia, Bonucci said: “Sergio Ramos? He’s the best defender in the world. He got the award for the best defender in last season’s Champions League and that proves he’s the best.”

Ramos skippered Real to glory in both La Liga and the Champions League last season, with the 31-year-old again showcasing his excellent leadership qualities.
Although the Spanish captain is renowned for his disappointing disciplinary record, Ramos is an outstanding defender – he averaged six defensive actions per game in La Liga last season, while he retained possession effectively as he completed 89 per cent of the passes that he attempted.
The captain is was not eligible to play against Valencia due to his poor disciplinary record having been sent off in Real Madrid opening game against Deportivo.
Ramos will hope to enjoy another successful season with Real Madrid, who was held to a 2-2 draw by Valencia in La Liga last weekend at home.
