Brazil star jubilates after named in Selecao World Cup team

Brazil full-back Fagner celebrates with his family after watching Selecao manager Tite picks the Corinthians right-back as a replacement to injured Dani Alves'  in World Cup squad.

The 28-year-old star was a surprise selection for his country's 23-man World Cup squad on Monday.

Fagner watching intently as the squad was announced as the Corinthians right back stood behind a sofa, watching the television broadcast of Tite reading out his selections and he overcome when his name was read out, prompting wild celebrations.

Former Bundesliga star appears too stunned and emotional to fully react outside of a huge grin and a big hug for his exuberant fans.

Fagner started his career with Corinthians before spells with Vasco da Gama and in Europe at PSV and Wolfsburg and he returns to his childhood club in 2014.

Fagner has the opportunity to go his first tournament with Brazil as experiences Paris Saints-Germain right-back Dani Alves ruled out from the Mundial following a knee ligament injury suffered in the French Cup final.
