The 29-year-old has been on the wishlist of Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for some time now, with fellow Premier League boss, Antonio Conte also said to be a keen admirer of the talents of the all-action midfielder.

However, despite interest from both Manchester United, Chelsea and various giants of European football, Nainggolan has put to bed any and all questions surrounding his future this evening, having opted to sign a new deal with AS Roma.

Nainggolan moved into a more attacking role in the Giallorossi last year, he went on to enjoy by far the most fruitful campaign of his career, racking up 14 goals and 7 assists in all competitions, while continuing to showcase his defensive tenacity on the other side of the ball.
