BREAKING: Ex-UEFA president Platini arrested

Former UEFA president Michel Platini has been arrested in Paris for the award of 2022 World Cup to Qatar 

Platini was detained for a criminal investigation into alleged corruption relating to the FIFA  decision to host the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, confirmed by French justice.

It was also reported by the news website Mediapart on Tuesday morning.

Platini has already been given a four-year ban from football by the Court of Arbitration for Sport for receiving a payment of 1.8 million euros from Sepp Blatter.
