BREAKING: Manchester United to face Celta Vigo

Manchester United have been handed Celta Vigo in the semi finals of the Europa League while Ajax are to battle Lyon for a place in the finals. 

With top-four finish not a certainty just yet, United know they need to win the Europa to come into the Champions League via the 'back door' and they are trying very hard.

The Red Devils inched closer to getting their Euro target having dug deep to overcome Anderlecht in extra time on Thursday night, Marcus Rashford bagging the winner.

Jose Mourinho's side who are unbeaten in seven Europa League games will now hope to get it right yet again as the get set for the tie against La Liga's 10th-placed team, the first leg taking place at the Balaidos Stadium.

The Europa League trophy is the one major absence in Man United's silverware cabinet.

Meanwhile, for the other semi-final tie which sees Dutch giants Ajax take on French side Lyon, the first of the two legs will be played at the Amsterdam Arena.

The first legs of the semis will be played on May 4 and the second legs will take place on May 11, while the final will be played in Stockholm on May 24.
