UEFA has announced German referee Felix Brych as the referee who will be in charge of the Champions League final match between Juventus and Real Madrid Cardiff, Wales.Brych
, 41, refereed the 2014 Europa League Final, won by Sevilla and becomes the ninth German referee in a European Cup or Champions League final.
He has officiated five times in this season's Champions League and been involved in 24 matches in all German domestic competitions, 17 of those coming in the Bundesliga.Brych
made his German top-flight debut in August 2004 and has averaged 4.76 yellow cards per Bundesliga match.
He was seriously criticized
along with his assistants after the match between Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim, in which two key offside decisions were called wrongly and a contentious penalty given to BVB while a clear one for their opponents was missed.
That is the human factor in football sometimes mistakes are bound to manifest, though the UEFA governing body is still on trying to eradicate this human factors by the introduction of technology into the game which has not been fully supported by all other bodies.
