Tottenham U23 coach Ugo Ehiogu has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the club's training ground on Thursday.
Tottenham Under 23 coach of Nigerian descent, Ugo Ehiogu has died less than 24 hours after he was rushed to hospital after he slumped at the club's training centre, the club have confirmed.
The 44-year old slumped after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday and was rushed to the hospital, but the Premier League club have now confirmed that the former England defender has died.Related News: Tottenham coach of Nigerian descent, Ugo Ehiogu, slumps
“It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Ugo Ehiogu, our Under-23 coach,” Tottenham confirmed on their Twitter handle.
The former England international has been at Spurs for almost three years since retiring from the game. Ehiogu, born in England of Nigerian parents, was capped four times by the Three Lions.
He featured for Aston Villa, Midlesbrough, Leeds and Rangers during a 13-year playing career. He has also worked with the England Under 20 team.
