France World Cup hope sits out of training ahead of Belgium

Kylian Mbappe may have been setting the stage alight with his performances for France at the World Cup, but his mother is not so much a happy woman at the moment and it has absolutely nothing to do with the youngster’s displays in Russia.

According to El Pais, Mbappe's mother Fayza Lamari has expressed her concern at the treatment of her son at Paris Saint-Germain, and in particular the way team-mates Dani Alves and Neymar routinely mock the teenager's appearance.

She has reportedly opened up on the testing environment her son is working in and how after a match last season, he engaged in a heated dressing room row with Neymar.

One of the biggest issues Lamari has with the behaviour of Neymar and Brazilian team-mate Alves concerns their jokes about the way her son looks.

The 19-year-old forward is often simply referred to as 'Donatello', a character from the television show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And back in November, he was given a Donatello mask in the PSG dressing room.

Despite initially being a joke, the El Pais report claims Mbappe does not like the nickname – but yet it continues to be used.
