CHAN Eagles star replaces late Udoji at Kano Pillars

CHAN Eagles defender Kalu Orji has joined Kano Pillars in what many will see as a direct replacement for the late Chinedu Udoji.

The 25-year-old former Enugu Rangers star who recently terminated his deal with Albanian First Division side and he has since been presented to the public by Pillars chairman Tukur Babangida.

Orji meets his new teammates on Thursday morning and is in line to make his debut for the Sai Masu Gida against Akwa United on Sunday.

"Kalu Orji has signed for us and we are glad to add a top quality defender of his calibre to our team,” Kano Pillars media officer Idris Malikawa told Completesportsnigeria.

"He is one of the best defenders in the league and we hope he will do well for us like in his previous clubs.”

Oriji has featured for Nigeria in two African Nations Championship finals in Rwanda and Morocco.
