Chelsea-Qarabag

Michy Batshuayi scored late in the second half as Chelsea made a sweet return to Champions League football on Tuesday; beating Qarabag 6-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro Rodriguez set the tone for the day as he got the opening goal in the 5th minute.

The Blues did not look back from then on as new boy Davide Zappacosta doubled Chelsea's lead on the half-hour mark.

Chelsea continued their dominance in the second half and ten minutes after the restart, Cesar Azpilicueta made it 3-0.

It was the turn of another new man to score as Tiemoue Bakayoko increased the tally to 4-0 in the 71st minute.

Belgian forward Batshuayi rounded the emphatic display as he netted the goal his play deserved when he drilled a low strike into the bottom corner from 20 yards out.

Qarabag were tiring, but Chelsea were in no mood to take it easy on the minnows, with Batshuayi forcing Medvedev to bundle the ball into his own net after Zappacosta had given all the time that he wanted to move into a crossing position.

Aside from the awesome scoreline, Chelsea also displayed their strength in depth after Conte had opted to make five changes to his starting lineup; leaving out the likes of Victor Moses.
