Alvaro Morata is now on the radar of Chelsea who are hoping to replace Diego Costa.
Chelsea are planning a fast one on Manchester United by hijacking their deal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata is reported to have already agreed terms with Manchester United, with only a fee left to be thrashed out with Real Madrid but Chelsea have now entered the race for the Spain striker, whom they see as a good replacement for Diego Costa, who is close to leaving the club.
However, Morata is not the only player the Blues are looking to tempt to Stamford Bridge, as they are also eyeing a move for Romelu Lukaku.Read also: Arsenal leaves star frustrated over contract renewal
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are eyeing a reunion with Diego Costa, as they will this week table a bid for him to return in January.
The Spaniards will propose an initial fee of £26m — £6m less than Chelsea paid for the player in 2014.
But with various performance-related add-ons they effectively plan to give the Blues their money back if a deal for the 28-year-old can be struck.
But while offers from China remain on the table, Costa is less open to a move there than he was six months ago.
