Kepa was linked with Real Madrid during the January transfer period but he ended up signing a new deal with Basque outfit, Maurizio Sarri is a huge fan of Kepa during his time at Napoli and he wants Chelsea to sign the Spanish international.
That contract extension includes a €80million release clause. If Chelsea were to trigger that, it would make the young Spaniard the most expensive goalkeeper ever.
Incidentally, that cost will also be much more than what they are likely to get in return for Courtois, with the Golden Glove winner expected to leave for €35million since he’s in the final year of his contract.
