Chelsea has made a fresh move to sign World Cup winner, according to a report in France.

The Blues want to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon, and the Stamford Bridge team has made a new effort to land the forward this summer.

Fekir has been tipped to join Liverpool before the World Cup and he has recorded an interview with LFCTV and he had pictures taken where he posed with the Reds’ shirt.

The deal collapse on the medical ground with the Anfield giants not happy with the report of the player’s medical.

However, Lyon has made it well known that although they’d be happy to keep their captain, they would be willing to sell him for a fee of around €60m.

Chelsea has now joined the wagon as they look to make a last minute signing and had made a new attempt to sign him after their initial attempt was unsuccessful.

Liverpool has dropped their interest to sign the forward so Chelsea could experience a free run to sign the World Cup winner.

The only stumbling block to the deal is Chelsea is not playing in the Champions League and Fekir wants Champions League football in the coming season.
