Chelsea midfielder rejects Serie A move

Cesc Fabregas has rejected a £30m summer move to AC Milan with the view of fighting for his place in the starting line up at the Stamford Bridge next season.The Spanish midfielder has been struggling to hold a regular starting berth in the Chelsea first eleven this season as he majorly comes off the bench to make an impact during games.Fabregas is keen to stay and fight for a spot despite the rumour emerging that Chelsea is in battle with other clubs for the signature of Tiemoue Bakayoko to partner N’Golo Kante in the midfield according to Evening Standard Reports. Although AC Milan and many other sides have begun to monitor him, he has said he won’t be signing for the Serie A side or any other Italian team as he prefers to remain with the Blues. Also Read:Conte has lost trust on Chelsea defenderFabregas has started more games during 2017 and is constantly being involved in goals either by scoring himself or setting them up for his team-mates.The 29-year-old has scored four goals and provided nine assists in just 1075 minutes of Premier League football, which means he’s being involved in a goal every 83 minutes.Rumours have also suggested that Chelsea would be planning to offer Fabregas a new contract to keep him at the club until 2020, with the salary of £150,000-a-week unchanged from his current deal.
