Chelsea new boy Zappacosta sends serious warning to MosesShare:
Davide Zappacosta celebrates after scoring a stunner on his Chelsea debut against Qarabag in the Champions League on Tuesday. He has now sent a warning to Victor Moses.
Victor Moses will have to work harder to retain his place in the Chelsea starting eleven after new signing, Davide Zappacosta scored and posted an impressive display on his debut for the Blues on Tuesday.
The Italian full back was a deadline day signing from Torino, and has been brought in as cover for Moses, who has been playing as a wing back for the Premier League champions since last season.
He was handed his debut on Tuesday night in their Champions League opener against Qarabag which the Blues won 6-0, with the 25-year old scoring a stunner from over 40 yards out, as Chelsea secured a comfortable win over their Azerbaijani counterparts.

Moses watched on from the bench for the entirety of the match, as Antonio Conte sought to give the former Torino man his debut against the less fancied side.
However, Moses is expected to return when the Blues host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, but Zappacosta’s performance against Qarabag must have sent a message to him that he will need to stay consistent to remain relevant to the Chelsea starting eleven.
