Dominic Solanke has been linked with a sensational switch to Liverpool from Chelsea.

England youth international of Nigerian descent, Dominic Solanke, is ready to make a stunning switch to Liverpool from Chelsea.

The 19-year-old striker has told pals he is Anfield-bound when his Stamford Bridge deal expires at the end of the season, according to The Sun.

The report claims the youngster demanded for £50,000 per week to stay at Chelsea despite barely featuring in the first team, but will now stun the Blues by joining their rivals in Liverpool.

The striker is reported to have also attracted interests from Scottish champions Celtic but will shun the Hoops to join other England-born players of Nigerian descent – Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo – at Liverpool.

But it will not be a straightforward deal for the Reds, though, as they face paying up to £8million in compensation as the teenager’s fee will go to a tribunal.

They did the same when Danny Ings arrived out-of-contract from Burnley 18 months ago when he ran down his contract at Turf Moor.

Chelsea have tried to offer a new deal to Solanke, but have not made a breakthrough in contract talks with the highly-rated youngster.

Daniel Sturridge, who also made the move from Chelsea to Liverpool, is out of favour and there is room for a striker to fight his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
