Chelsea target Torres signs new deal with La Liga outfit

Chelsea target Torres has signed a new deal with La Liga outfit, despite interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool, according to Daily Mail.

Ferran Torres has extended his stay with Valencia by signing a new deal with the Mestalla outfit, Torres broke into the Valencia team this season and the winger played most of the team’s La Liga and the Copa del Rey matches.

Torres’ has been impressive this season and his form has attracted the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid are also craving for his signature. The young Spaniard has made nine appearances for Valencia this season, with one assist in La Liga.

His release clause was set out £21.9million, a fee that was reportedly tempting the Premier League sides to move for the beaten Under-17 World Cup finalist.

However, Valencia announced Torres has extended his contract by a year until 2021 and in the process increased his release clause to £87.5m.

Chelsea was monitoring the situation of winger before the Torres signed on Monday night.

Torres will be staying at Mestalla Stadium for another lengthy period after signing a new deal with The Bats.

The release cause for the young Spaniard is now set at an eye-watering £100million, meaning clubs will have to sit and wait to see whether or not Toress will ever justify such a price-tag.
