In total, 13 players have played at Barcelona and Chelsea.

The complete list include;

Mark Hughes

In the summer of 1986, Hughes was surprisingly sold to Barcelona for £2 million. United announced on 21 March 1986 that Hughes would be heading for Spain at the end of the season.

After returning to Manchester United following loan spell at Bayern Munich, Hughes left Old Trafford for the second and final time in June 1995 when he was sold to Chelsea for £1 million, in a summer that also saw the departures of players such as Paul Ince (to Inter Milan) and Andrei Kanchelskis (to Everton).

Albert 'Chapi' Ferrer

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Ferrer began his senior career with FC Barcelona B, then served a loan with CD Tenerife in the 1989–90 season, with whom he made his La Liga debuts at the age of 19. Ferrer returned to the first team the following summer, and became the club's first-choice right-back, remaining as such for the following eight years and scoring once.

Ferrer moved to Chelsea for £2.2 million and quickly establishing himself in the side, helping them qualify for their first ever Champions League in his debut campaign, his new club won the FA Cup the following year (but he missed the final through injury) and reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

After just three Serie A appearances throughout his short stay in AC Milan after joining the Serie A giants in 1997–98 season from Ajax, Bogarde in January 1998 moved to compatriot Louis van Gaal's FC Barcelona, playing 19 matches in the second part of the campaign as Barcelona won La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Bogarde signed for Chelsea in 2000–01, after reportedly following the advice of compatriot Mario Melchiot to join him at the Premier League side.
